WHAT IS A SNAP WEB BUTTON?

End Hunger CT!’s SNAP Web Button is an image you can add to your website that promotes the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) and the free SNAP assistance services EHC! provides through its SNAP Call Center. The image is hyperlinked to EHC’s SNAP webpage www.ctsnap.org, where someone can learn about SNAP, see EHC!’s Call Center hours, and view frequently asked questions about the program. From there, they can also access our SNAP prescreener, a free, quick, and confidential online tool that collects household and income information and tells the participant if they may be eligible for SNAP in Connecticut. The prescreener never stores information and is not an official application for SNAP but will prompt a participant to contact the End Hunger CT! SNAP Call Center to apply if deemed potentially eligible.

HOW DO I ADD A SNAP WEB BUTTON TO MY WEBSITE?

To add EHC!’S SNAP web button to your website:

• CLICK ON AN IMAGE BELOW and “Save As” to your computer;
• Upload the image into your website backend;
• Place the image into your website and resize if needed;
• Link the image to www.ctsnap.org.
  • (For reference, this URL redirects to www.endhungerct.org/services/snap; they are the same!)
• Make sure to save your web changes and then test it out!

Note: EHC!’s website contains a language translator feature at the top right of all pages which translates website text into hundreds of different languages, making the content accessible to anyone no matter what language you choose for your web button below!
