End Hunger CT! leads statewide efforts to end hunger through a combination of direct outreach, education, and advocacy. We work to connect individuals and families to nutrition programs while also fighting for long-term policy solutions that eliminate barriers to food access.
Our programs are designed to meet people where they are—whether that’s a family in need of SNAP benefits or a school district seeking universal school meals. Here’s what we do to build a hunger-free Connecticut:
We help individuals and families apply for and maintain their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Our trained staff provides one-on-one support with applications, eligibility screenings, and redetermination paperwork.

Full Shelves’ primary function is to establish a buying group for community-based food pantries, soup kitchens, faith based organizations and other nonprofits throughout Connecticut.
A statewide network of more than 3,000 members, including social service providers, advocates, religious leaders, and individuals concerned about issues affecting lower-income families and communities throughout Connecticut. The CABHN network represents a diverse range of experience, expertise, interests, and access to resources. Members share a common goal of improving services to low-income residents, strengthening our public benefits programs, and increasing support to families to help them transition out of poverty and become self-sufficient and economically secure.
End Hunger CT! proudly leads the School Meals 4 All CT campaign, which advocates for universal free meals in public schools. No child should have to learn on an empty stomach.

During the summer months, when school is out, many children lose access to regular meals. We promote and support free Summer Meals sites across the state, helping parents and children locate food resources when school is not in session. These programs ensure that children across Connecticut have access to the food they need to learn and grow 365 days a year.
We work with schools and communities to increase participation in federal child nutrition programs like:

We fight for systemic change by advocating at the state and federal levels for stronger, more equitable food policies. From protecting SNAP funding to pushing for school meal reform, we work to ensure no one in Connecticut goes hungry because of bureaucracy or budget cuts.
End Hunger Connecticut! is committed to working with local, state, and national organizations, leaders, and legislators to advocate for policy changes that protect food access and improve all aspects of wellbeing for Connecticut’s residents. EHC! supports policy actions addressing the intersectionality of food security and other basic needs.
End Hunger CT!’s CT Fresh Match Program allows SNAP recipients to double the fruits and vegetables they purchase at participating farmers’ markets across the State.
